About the hotel

The Deddington Arms Hotel overlooks the beautiful market square of Deddington.

We are located in a medieval village lying between Oxford and Banbury at the gateway to the Cotswolds. The hotel has offered a warm welcome to travellers since the 16th century when, as a coaching inn, it offered food and shelter to weary stagecoach passengers. Today the hotel has a superb fresh food restaurant with air conditioning, warm welcoming bars with log fires and 27 en suite bedrooms including cottage suites and four-poster luxury. Deddington is a village steeped in history dating back to an early 6/7th century settlement. The Deddington Arms Hotel is well situated for visits to many beautiful and interesting places locally, making it an ideal place to stay for a long weekend or a longer break in the countryside.

The Deddington Arms Hotel is now a non-smoking hotel in all the public areas.

The recently refurbished Deddington Arms Restaurant enjoys an outstanding reputation for serving innovative fresh food in a friendly and efficient atmosphere. Air conditioning ensures your comfort whatever the season, and candle-lit tables support the warm and intimate ambiance. The restaurant is open every lunchtime, every evening and all day Saturday and Sunday. The menu is designed to appeal to lovers of fresh food cooked simply, but with subtle variation in tastes, textures and complimented by light sauces. Fresh fish dishes and vegetarian options are always available, and the wine list features good quality and value wines from around the world. A choice of real ales such as Guinness, lagers, and cider are available from the bar. Private dinner parties are welcome in the board room, where up to sixteen diners can receive personal attention - the menu, wines and music of their choice. Breakfast - Saturday to Sunday: 08:00 to 10:00.

From London, leave the m40 at Junction 10 signed for Northampton, a43. At the first roundabout, turn left to Aynho. In Aynho, following a sharp right hand bend, turn left to Deddington (8 miles from m40). From Birmingham, leave the M40 at Junction 11 and turn right to Banbury. Drive straight on at the next roundabout and left at the next roundabout. Follow signs through Banbury to the hospital and then Adderbury on A4260 and then on to Deddington. Turn left at traffic lights in Deddington for The Deddington Arms (8 miles from M40). Travelling East to West, or vice-versa, follow the B4031 Chipping Norton to Buckingham Road. On entering the village of Deddington, The Deddington Arms can be found overlooking the market square..
